La Coulée d’Or, Creole House

Located in the village of Le Vauclin, just over a mile from the Pointe Faula beach, La Coulée d’Or is a delightful Creole house nestled between blooming banana trees and sugarcane tufts.

Built in 2020 with timber and masonry in keeping with traditional methods, the Main House and its Bungalow will seduce you and provide you with the perfect combination of modernity and Creole authenticity.

Overlooking the countryside and nestled at the heart of an organic garden planted with canes and tropical trees, the Coulée d’Or is an authentic Creole-style house adorned with a generous breezy porch.

The numerous mahogany shutters filter both sunlight and wind.

During your stay, you can admire the growth of our organic Creole canes which will produce an extraordinary vintage of our A 1710 rums.

The Bungalow (2 to 3 guests) is available for seasonal rental, both with or without the Main House.

The extraordinary experience

Are you passionate and eager to experience something truly authentic in an exceptional setting? Do you wish to discover Martinique, the historic homeland of great rums, don the role of a “rhumier,” and craft your own spirit?

Today, we offer you the chance to live a unique and unprecedented experience at our A 1710 distillery at Habitation du Simon in François.

Come experience the extraordinary.

Over the course of a week, or even just 4 days, you will stay in the heart of a distillery and create your own batch of white rum, “La Perle.” From cutting and milling the cane to fermenting the vesou, distilling, bottling, and labeling—you’ll live and participate in every step of creating your own white rum. (“La Perle” or another of our batches depending on the schedule).
