about the people who cultivate the cane fields all year round: coping with the vagaries of the weather and the vagaries of the soil, looking after and raising sugar cane in the best possible way to produce the best juice are the daily challenges facing <strong>cane growers<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>This year, <strong>A 1710<\/strong> rums have chosen to showcase <strong>Monsieur Paul Octave<\/strong> and one of the plots on his farm.<\/p>\n<p>Black, Yellow, and Pen Epi L\u00e8t canes grow on this specific plot. This plot is nestled between hills and gullies in the south of the island, on the&nbsp;<strong>Saint-Esprit<\/strong>, a few kilometers from Habitation du Simon where our distillery is located.&nbsp;<strong>A 1710<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The growers we work with are carefully selected for their quality of work and their <strong>respect for the environment<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element and peppercorns<\/strong> emerge from the inviting and supple nose.<\/p><p>On the palate, the onset is smooth, and we are swept up by flavours of candied <strong>mango<\/strong>, <strong>hazelnut<\/strong>, and of our delicious <strong>sugarcane<\/strong>, very present, as in all our vintages.<\/p><p>The fine balance and lingering finish both leave us eager to repeat the
