The organic cane plot<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Located within the A 1710 domain on the grounds of the Habitation du Simon, our organic cane plantation is free of fertilisers, pesticides, herbicides, and chemicals. Here, we cultivate two varieties of cane, the \u2018canne bleue\u2019 and the \u2018canne rouge\u2019 (blue cane and red cane). The canes harvested in this plot will bring to life two organic, single-variety, and plot-specific white rum vintages, namely La Perle Rare \u2018Canne Rouge,\u2019 and La Perle Rare \u2018Canne Bleue\u2019.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Our hand-cut canes are transported to the Mill House, at the heart of the domain, where they are pressed in our three-roll mill, similar to those used since the 19th century.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

As a result of extensive study and research, our distillery specifically brings out the extraordinary and exclusive character of A 1710 rums. The design of the distillery was driven by a willingness to attain technical and aesthetic excellence.
\u2018La Belle Aline,\u2019 our Charente copper still fitted with a 7-plate column, stands elegantly in the old fully restored 18th-century sugar purgery.<\/p>\n

The A 1710 distillery primarily symbolises a rebirth, that of the first distillery to open after over a century of consecutive closures.<\/p>\n
